I grew up in northwest Ohio, in an area once part of a large wetland ecosystem known as the Great Black Swamp.
My journey and practice began in the rich, deep loam of my grandmother’s garden.
As a child, I remember helping my grandmother plant and water seeds into the fertile Ohio soil where all the elements gathered in sacred communion to generate and nourish life.
Ever since, I’ve held on to a deep curiosity about the connection between the body, mind, spirit, and environment.
I’ve had the privilege of exploring this curiosity through travel, notably throughout West Africa, including Dogon Country, Mopti, and Timbuktu. As an apprentice to a metalsmith in Mali, I learned to work the forge and witnessed firsthand how the elements were alchemized and woven into everyday life.
Following several years of travel, I landed in Chicago, where I worked as an operations and outreach coordinator and began studying the healing arts. Thereafter, I moved to Texas to earn a Master’s in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. From 2018 to 2026, I ran a successful private practice and have since transitioned my practice to focus on writing, mentorship, and teaching. I currently offer healing circles as an acupunk, or a community acupuncturist.

I am a mama to one earth-side child, and one child who was with me for seven weeks. Becoming a mother has taught me so much about my relationship to the earth and cosmos.

My maternal grandmother, as well as my father, taught me how to garden around age 7, and I’ve been a gardening in one form or another ever since. Over the next 3-5 years, my goal is to build my dream garden/homestead/greenhouse/home office.

I attended the Institut National des Arts in Bamako, Mali and where I apprenticed with a metalsmith, learned how to work a forge, and loved making handmade chains.
While in Mali, I traveled to some of the most remote and ancient areas in Africa including Dogon Country, Mopti, and Timbuktu. Mali also showed me how spiritual and religious rituals are fundamentally entwined with mysticism and magic.
Since this trip, I’ve had the privilege to travel to South Africa, Mozambique, Japan, and Saskatchewan.

I am a life-long student of intersectional eco-feminism, cosmology, and metaphysics, and I am grateful for the mentorship of Dr. Qianzhi Jamie Wu, Dr. Nelson Song Luo, Dr. Shengyan Grace Tan, Dr. Yongxin Fan, Dr. Yaoping Violet Song, Dr. Sonia Tan, Kelly Surtees, Chris Brennan, Caroline Casey, and Virginia Rosenberg.
At age 17, I purchased my first Tarot deck (specifically, The Goddess Tarot). This year, I decided to do my first decan walk.
